Matthieu Bettinger UCLouvainICTEAM

I am currently a senior researcher in the ICTEAM’s Cloud and Large Scale computing group at UCLouvain in Belgium, led by Prof. Etienne Rivière. I defended my PhD on collusion-resilience in decentralized marketplace mechanisms in 2025 at INSA Lyon, France, under the supervision of Dr. Sonia Ben Mokhtar, as part of the joint laboratory RedChainLab, between the LIRIS-DRIM and the French startup iExec. Before that, I obtained a Dipl.Ing-M.Sc. double-degree in Computer Science in 2021, between INSA Lyon in France and the Universität Passau in Germany.

My work focuses on the resilience, reliability, and scalability of distributed and decentralized protocols, in particular, based on blockchains and Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs). For example, my past contributions tackle TEE trusted time and remote attestation, search and marketmaking in decentralized marketplaces, as well as blockchain e-voting.
